Change. Ever get sick of hearing that word? Well, the rate of change happening inside today’s companies is dizzying. New strategies, new directions, re-vamped values, new version 2.0, new technologies…
If you are not involved in designing it then you’re in the middle of implementing it. And if you’re not doing either you might quite naturally be worried about what is going to happen next.
And if the predictions from The Henley Centre are true, by about 2010, less than 50% of roles will be fulltime because we will be working as ‘suppliers’ (not staff) to our clients (once known as bosses.) Interesting notion isn’t it!??!
It did get me thinking though. If we think about ourselves as our ‘own business’… now seems like a good time to start to prepare your ‘you-business’.
Being in control of your own destiny, using your talents & capabilities and branding yourself must be the best way to go. That sense of direction is so powerful.
And the wonderful thing about today’s connected world – is that all the information you need is on offer and can found at your fingertips.
